I will reveal a system that many builders use to offer bland interior colors (inside the pool, the wall and floor).
Firstly, the builders typically only include the basic interior colors. They are usually the worst colors imaginable. The colors are either white (too boring) or result in a tinge of green (seriously?). Yes, seriously, they do when water is added. I only offer the blue colors (but avoid blacks or really dark colors).
So, let us say that you have arrived to sign a contract and you discover that the color you prefer is an upgrade. What should you do? I suggest the following:
Settle on all the other details that are included and make all your color selections. Choose a standard interior color and choose the interior color that you prefer.
Once everything is negotiated and before you sign the contract, negotiate the upgraded color as part of your contracts. This is your opportunity to get the color that you prefer.
