The most important area for a swimming pool is the play areas. In The Woodlands and in Spring Texas, pool buyers should be aware of the important aspects of pool depth.
- The shallow areas are very important.
- The deep areas are popular amongst children.
- 3′ to 5′ is the most popular depth.
So, you might be wondering about the depth of a new pool. One aspect is the pool’s length. A swimming pool that was built in Cypress was 3 1/2′ to 7′ but only 30′ to the deep end. The clients insisted on it being so deep. But the floor was very steep and was not user friendly in the shallow end.
- Make sure that you know how deep the areas of your pool will be.
- If you want a deeper end, try and restrict it to a certain area.
Talk to your swimming pool contractor about the depth. Ask him what he thinks is best. He should give you the pros and cons and answer all of your questions.
- A tanning shelf or shallow area with 6″ of water is very popular.
- Put a few deck chairs on a tanning ledge.
Areas that allow you to be in shallow water are nice, under an umbrella. The kids love to play in the shallow areas and spend lots of time there. You might consider extending a shallow area for lounge chairs. And to have some fun for children, add some bubblers.
- Umbrella sleeves are low cost and add lots of shade.
- Remember to add bubblers to help keep the shallow areas cool.
